SeaComm Among First Inductees Into
New York Business Hall Of Fame

From North Country This Week:
The New York Business Hall Of Fame has announced that its first inductees into the statewide business hall of fame include SeaComm Federal Credit Union.
SeaComm was nominated by the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and has been selected as one of two businesses in the state for the new Hall of Fame.
"These dynamic business leaders and talented companies are truly representative of the solid foundation of what our state economy is built upon and the vitality of where we are headed," said Ron Dresner, director of the Business Hall Of Fame. "While we received numerous nominations, we chose these individuals and companies because of their unique corporate stories, which involved innovative business ideas and a strong community presence."
"We are definitely honored to be inducted into the business hall of fame -- especially as a member of the first induction class," said Scott Wilson, chairman of SeaComm’s board of directors. "This award is a reflection of the efforts and participation of all of our federal credit union members. It's everyone's award."
"The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is proud that SeaComm has been selected for this prestigious honor," said John Wicke, chamber director, who nominated SeaComm as the chamber's "Business of the Year." "We believe SeaComm exemplifies the best of business by putting its workforce and members first and are pleased that the Hall of Fame has chosen them for the 2006 Corporate Leader."
The other inductees are Louis Basso, president, The Alcott Group, Farmingdale; James E. Hammer, president & CEO, Hammer Packaging, West Henrietta; and Guide Communications, Brewster.
Established just last year, The New York Business Hall Of Fame’s aim is to showcase successful companies and business leaders through business networking and industry events held throughout the state. The organization partners with private and public organizations, associations and corporations to promote economic development and new ideas in the marketplace.
